Les Carter

Les has been active with the WHHF since its inception in 2014, taking the board chair role in 2017. His exposure to families with medically fragile children has driven a devotion to highlight the special needs community and work to alleviate their challenges. He graduated from Brunel University in London UK with a BS in Construction Management and also holds Masters degrees in both business and public management, both from the University of Maryland in College Park. Les is currently a PhD candidate at the Wilder School of Government and Public Affairs at Virginia Commonwealth University. Professionally Les has wide experience with strategic planning, finance and utility regulation and presently is a Strategic Advisor in Dominion Energy’s distribution grid resiliency team. For fun you can find Les out cycling either on the rural roads of Henrico and Hanover counties or the gravel trails in central Virginia.
