Joe Burton

Joe is originally from Radford, Virginia but his military career helped him find his home in Glen Allen. Joe has a beautiful family that keeps his free time full of love, laughter, and lots of sports! When Joe's not spending time with family, he is supporting the recovery, self-determination, and wellness of Virginians in his current role as the Director of Public Safety and Security for the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services. In his free time Joe loves to run, coach baseball, hunt and watch whatever television series the family is enjoying. Joe's passion is helping those around him, whether it’s been talking to someone in a Mental Health Crisis or helping a young baseball player learn to swing a bat.
